The NDIS aids Australians living with disabilities in addition to their families and caretakers. The scheme was formerly known as Disability Care Australia but took up the brand new name in the year 2013. The scheme covers for about 460,000 people all of whom are under the age of 65. These people must also be permanently disabled or have a kind of disability that frees them from leading regular lives without using necessary supports and aids.
